Mother's Day Gift Guide
Being a mom is literally my favorite thing in the world. Literally. As soon as my first daughter was born I just knew this is exactly what I was put on Earth to do, be a mom! It is my greatest accomplishment. Some days are a blast but don't get me wrong.... some days are hard! It's all part of it. I don't think we would appreciate the great days as much if we didn't struggle every once in a while.
Moms deserve to be appreciated for all their hard work! People don't realize how much moms actually do every day. From an alarm clock to a chef to a chauffeur to a nurse to tutor to a personal assistant (bathtime) to....everything. The list is never ending. Tell your mom you love her and tell her thank you. Sometimes a simple, "thank you," means more than you realize.
I am a mom first but I am also a teacher. I am your 'typical' teacher who loves coffee mugs. I didn't used to but over the years students would give me mugs as gifts and it sort of just became something I love to collect. There are so many cute ones out there, I want them all! This might be my favorite mug of all! It is 20 oz, which is great for those of us who like a little more coffee than normal. It's also the cheapest one I've been eyeballing. It's only $14. An over sized mug at that price is a win for everyone!

If you tried to put your own box together (good for you!) it would cost you an arm and a leg and then you'd have to put it all together and make it look presentable! I'm awful at stuff like that!! I prefer things that are already put together. HA!
If your mom does a lot of baking this would be a beautiful gift! This cake stand is on sale for $40. It would look beautiful in any kitchen and mom would love to bake something to get some use out of this!
If you are looking to gift a give that pampers a little more than the normal gift I suggest this back massager. It is as easy as the push of a button to give your mom a much needed massage. It's only $40 and she can use it every day for the rest of her life! If you buy 1 massage it's one and done and it even costs more than this does! She can use it on her neck, back, legs, ankles, etc. So many uses for this!
Another great option for pampering would be a nice, long bubble bath. And why not get mom this bamboo bath caddy for all of her relaxing bubble baths?! This one is expandable to fit any bathtub and has so many sections for all her relaxing needs; wine, candles, music, books, etc. All the things. It's about $40 and would make a great gift paired with some nice bubble bath. :)
If you are wanting to pamper your mom with little cash then maybe consider doing something like this with a breakfast in bed theme! (I would totally love this!!)

A gift from the store (or Amazon) is great but in my opinion a homemade gift is the best. It is from the heart and lets Mom know that you were thinking about her and making something that took time and effort. It isn't something where you just click "buy" and it's done. It means so much. Here are a couple of things I found while searching Pinterest that are easy to make. Obviously you'll have to help the kids some but let them do most of it. It truly shows Mom that it's from them!
I'm super bummed that we aren't going to be in school so I can make something with my class. SO many kiddos want to show their mom how much they love and appreciate them but they can't buy them anything. Schools don't fund things like that for teachers so everything they buy for the crafts comes out of their own pockets. If you get a "homemade at school" gift just know that not only your child helped make it but so did their teacher. More than likely she spent her own money and time looking for something unique and thoughtful for YOU. Do your best to appreciate any gift, no matter how simple or small. :)
