Friday Favorites

It's been a tough week. Mackenzie has been sick all week, thankfully it was just a cold but it was accompanied by an ear infection. She was not a fan of those ear drops! Luckily, she is on the mend now and we are excited for the weekend!

We have a birthday party to go to on Saturday and there will be a bunch of other kids there her age so I know she will have a blast. It will do us all some good to get out of the house for a little while, too!

I don't know about you but I struggle when it comes to finding birthday gifts. I know we already have so many toys and stuffed animals that I don't want any more!! I try to remember that when buying things for other families. I really like what I found for this little sweetie turning 1! Something like this is so good for their motor skills and hand-eye coordination! Plus the bright colors make it so appealing to them! Hopefully he likes it.

While Mackenzie has been getting all the cuddles from Daddy this week, I've had this little angel to play with. Bed time has become much more.....fun.....these days. She has learned that she doesn't want to go to sleep! *UGH!* As soon as I lay her down she pops right back up and just smiles her biggest smile. She knows she's cute!

I realized that I have become that typical mom with 2 kids. I have about 17,000 pictures of Mackenzie and maybe 10 of Madison. Okay, okay, those numbers are both a little exaggerated but you get my point. I'm trying my best to make sure I take AT LEAST one picture of her a day. It's hard to remember when life gets busy but she deserves it. I want her to have as many pictures as she can of herself as a baby.

Let me just say, I am SO ready for some Spring weather! Spring is not my favorite season BUT it is my favorite season to dress for, weird. I know. LOL!

So, I actually made a New Year's resolution to not buy myself ANY clothes, unless absolutely necessary. Y'all. WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING?! It's been okay for 2 months. I've done good. But now that Spring clothes are coming out, I’m struggling. I think I might cave in and buy just a couple new things.... we’ll see. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I dug wayyyyy back into my closet to find this denim jacket! I saw so many cute, springy things back there!

It is seriously so old that I have no idea where I bought it. I just love the color. It is so "happy!" Plus, teachers love a good denim jacket for some reason. 😂

My shirt is from the clearance section at Target. It is a simple, ribbed long-sleeve shirt but is one of my new closet favorites. It is lightweight and will transition into Spring perfectly!

Another favorite from the week would be seeing a fellow Kindergarten teacher attempting these crazy spinning monkey bars! Teachers gotta have some fun, too!

She did NOT get passed #2. She said they are MUCH harder than they look! Even the kids struggle to complete these!
